This call will provide an opportunity for NAMI
Family-to-Family Program Directors, Coordinators and Trainers to learn about
two Suicide Prevention Checklists created by NAMI members in Oregon for use in
the Advocacy Class (session 11) of NAMI Family-to-Family. The materials address
issues of information families can hope to gain from providers, how providers
can engage families in suicide prevention and the impact of HIPAA around these
efforts. The checklists and supporting documents
will be sent out with the call reminder next week.
