The Basics Training originally advertised for Santa Ana has been moved.  It will now be in Ontario, California.  The dates remain the same.

Support Group Mentorship Process and webinar

Hi.  Below is information about a recorded conference call that occurred in September.  There are also several video links regarding NAMI Family Support
Group outreach.

Dear NAMI Family Support Group Trainers and Facilitators:

Thank you to those who participated in our September call and shared your wisdom around some common challenges to support group facilitation! Below is a recap of the many national announcements that were made on the call.

·        There is a new NAMI Support Group Mentorship Process available to support those interested in learning about the program, and the role of facilitator, until they are able to attend a facilitator training (see attachment).
·        There is a new 90-minute facilitator refresher webinar that covers the model, peaceful conversations, outreach and data reporting, and is available on the NAMI Education Helpdesk, in the “Online Learning Center”: www.nami.org/eduhelpdesk We highly recommend this resource for new and seasoned facilitators.
·        There are new NAMI Family Support Group outreach videos available on NAMI’s YouTube page, NAMI video. You have the option to share the videos on your social media pages, on a website, or via email simply by pushing the “Share” button below the video of choice and clicking on a social media icon, or the “Embed” or “Email” option.
·        Coming Soon: In 2015, Trainers will be asked to switch to the updated FSG Trainer Manual for trainings. We will provide additional resources to make the transition for Trainers as smooth as possible. More information on this will be provided in the coming months. Facilitators will have a new, easier to use, Facilitator Guide available to them for download on the NAMI intranet: www.nami.org/fsg/intranet

The call recording can be found on the Recorded Webinars/Conference Calls section of our Education Helpdesk for those who are unable to join.

Thank you,
Julie

Encuesta IMPORTANTE sobre seguros de salud - NAMI

An announcement from NAMI National.  This is about a survey on health benefits.
Attention monolingual English speakers – while Google Translator cannot be used to create letters in Spanish, it does a fairly decent job of translating Spanish content.  Please cut and paste the contents below into Google Translator for a translation into English.  https://translate.google.com/
